AWS Global Infrastructure

AWS Global Infrastructure spans 61 Availability Zones within 20 geographical Regions around the world, with announced plans for 15 more Availability Zones and 5 more Regions in Bahrain, Cape Town, Hong Kong SAR, Jakarta, and Milan.  This shows how well established and far reaching Amazon Web Services' infrastructure is. Term definitions:

Regions - an AWS region is a geographical area. (ex. US East, Asia Pacific, Canada)
Availability Zone -  are technically Data centers located within a region.  There can be multiple AZs in a single region.
